I’m Sean Song—an engineer, product builder, and lifelong student of the systems hiding underneath everyday tools.

I started close to the metal: codecs, embedded systems, and the kind of work where a single wrong bit can ruin the whole result. Today I build products with AI and write about the strange continuity between those worlds.

seanslab is where I follow technical constraints into history, business, culture, and human behavior. The pieces are long because the interesting part is usually one layer deeper than the obvious answer.
